Woodham Academy deputy head Jonathan Lumb is set to leave the Aycliffe school this summer after being appointed head at Darlington’s Education Village.
Mr Lumb Jonathan joined Woodham Academy five years ago and has previously worked as an assistant head at Framwellgate School and Head of PE at St. Leonard’s in Durham.
During his time at Woodham Academy, Mr Lumb has taught both PE and mathematics.
“He has shown tremendous commitment to students and has been instrumental in developing the excellent quality of teaching at Woodham Academy,” said the school’s head, Christine Forsyth.
“We would like to thank Mr. Lumb for everything he has done for Woodham Academy and wish him every success in his new role.”
Mr Lumb is expected to take up his new role at Education Village in September.
