Woodham Academy has opened a new outdoor classroom thanks to a £10,000 grant.
Following extensive work in the summer, a new outdoor classroom has been developed with the help of local company Dig-it.
Staff will be able to book the classroom and take groups of students into the classroom that includes a bespoke garden that is beautiful yet functional.
The purpose is to provide inspiring and active learning opportunities for students in an outdoor space. The classroom was funded by an Awards for All bid of £10,000.
Woodham deputy head Jonathan Lumb said: “Students will be inspired in this creative new area.
“They will be free from the restrictions of traditional thinking and their imagination will be awakened by creativity and engagement.”
