With the imminent arrival of the Olympic games in London comes the news that two former students from Woodham Community Technology College have been selected to represent Great Britain.
Angela Winstanley-Smith has been selected for the Water Polo squad, and Jason Steele for the Football squad.
Angela is shown pictured with fellow Water Polo player, Woodham student and Olympic torchbearer, Richie Howe, after her recent visit to the school.
Both will be present in the Great Britain squad at the games Opening Ceremony on 27th July.
Their selection coincides with the college launching its Sports Academy which provides high quality coaching opportunities for students to emulate the achievements of such former students.
