Woodham Academy is hosting an open evening for parents of year 6 students who’ll be moving to secondary school next summer.
The school has produced a new interactive prospectus for parents, which enables parents and children to view videos within the printed publication, using the augmented reality App, Aurasma.
Copies of the prospectus will be available at the open evening on Thursday 18th September, which is from 6pm until 8pm.
In the opening video feature, which is available to view in our Video Vault now, Woodham head teacher Christine Forsyth says: “Choosing a school for your child is one of the most important decisions you’ll ever make.
“Will they make good progress academically? Will they be well cared for? And most importantly, will they be happy here?
“We’re proud that boys and girls, of all abilities, make very good progress here at Woodham Academy.
“Our highly-experienced teachers challenge all students to do their best all of the time.
“Lessons are exciting, often using the latest digital media.
“While our teaching is rapidly gaining a national reputation for innovation, our values are unashamedly old fashioned.
“Our ethos is of unconditional mutual respect.”
