Woodham Academy’s annual Summer Concert has been moved back a day to next Wednesday, July 4.
The event, titled ‘A Night at the Movies’ had been scheduled for Tuesday. All tickets purchased remain valid for the new date.
The concert will feature performances influenced by music from films – ranging from cult classics to modern favourites.
Students from all year groups will take part in the concert, which will feature the Dance Academy, Woodham Jazz Band, Percussion Academy, Drama Academy, and the newly formed Woodham Rock Band, as well as various soloists.
The concert, which follows the recent success of Woodham Academy’s acclaimed production of School of Rock, will also feature a sneak preview of next year’s musical, Grease.
The concert starts at 7pm. Movie themed refreshments will be available on the night, as well as the usual raffle.
Tickets, priced just £4 and £2, are available now on Parentpay, from the school office, or on the door on the night.
