Andrew Bell has been appointed as Woodham’s new headteacher from September.
He will replace the current headteacher, Christine Forsyth, who is retiring in August.
Andrew joined Woodham in 2013 and, as deputy headteacher, has been responsible for student outcomes.
Under his leadership, students of all abilities have made good progress, achieving very pleasing exam results.
Mrs Forsyth said: “I am delighted that governors have appointed Andrew to take over the leadership of Woodham in September.
“I have no doubt that he will build on the school’s current success to deliver an excellent education to our young people.”
