Newton Aycliffe police are hunting mindless vandals who have stolen a vintage Vespa scooter before setting it on fire.
Sometime between 11pm on Sunday June 30 and 2am on Monday July 1, the Vespa 125 super 1966 scooter was removed from a garden on Silkin Way in the town.
It was then burnt out in the Burn area near to Skipton Close.
If anyone has any information could they please contact the Aycliffe Neighbourhood Police Team on 101, quoting reference DHM-01072013-0034.
