Newton Aycliffe police have arrested two men for separate thefts in the town.
The Neighbourhood Police Team reported that David Edwards, from the town, has been charged with theft from Savers in the town centre.
Clinton Ross, meanwhile, also from the town, has been arrested and bailed for a theft from The Cubby.
