Faster, Higher, Stronger: Monday 7pm, BBC2 (pictured)
With the London Olympics around the corner, the BBC brings us a new series which looks back at all the history and flavour of the Olympic Games. The first part of the series, which concludes on Thursday, highlights the 100m final and some of its most famous competitors including: Jim Hines – the first person to run the race in under 10 seconds, Carl Lewis – the best finisher of them all, and Usain Bolt – the modern day phenomenon.
Blackout: Monday 9pm, BBC1.
The second of the three-part psychological series sees Bevan questioning the integrity of the case altogether with Ruth uncovering new facts that lead her perilously close to the new mayor. Meanwhile, Sylvie is really struggling to deal with her home life and she reaches out for help from Alan.
Show Me Your Money: Wednesday 10pm, Channel 4.
In a ground-breaking documentary, employees at Pimlico Plumbers in London are asked by managing director Charlie Mullins to reveal how much they are paid, as the company lead an experiment into whether exposing peoples different salaries have an effect on how they perform at work. The results are sure to be interesting.
The Men Who Made Us Fat: Thursday 9pm, BBC2.
In the last of the series, Jacques Peretti examines what people perceive to be, and not to be, healthy. He pays particular attention to muesli and juice – both of which can be high in sugar, but are consistently marketed as being healthy. He also looks closer into government campaigns and initiatives and explores what effect these have had.
The Angelos Epithemiou Show: Friday 10:35pm, Channel 4.
New series which sees Dan Renton Skinner give his popular alter-ego Angelos Epithemiou his own TV show where he performs stunts and sketches alongside celebrity interviews. The results are sure to be hilarious.
