The Diamond Queen: Monday BBC1, 9pm.
The first of a three part series that sees Andrew Marr look back over the Queen’s 60 years on the throne. He begins by reviewing the duties that Queen Elizabeth carries out both at home and abroad. Expect to see contributions from the likes of Prince William, Prince Harry, Prince Edward, Princess Anne and Princess Eugenie throughout this insightful series.
How To Cook Like Heston: Wednesday Channel 4, 8pm.
In the last of the cooking series Heston Blumenthal showcases his talents by giving advice on cooking potatoes. You can expect to see some bizarre recipes including potato doughnuts and even potato skin jam. A great one for the wannabe chef’s amongst us.
Roger & Val Have Just Got In: Wednesday BBC2, 10pm.
Returning to our screens, Alfred Molina and Dawn French are back as married couple Roger and Val for a new series guaranteed to be full of laughs. In the opening episode, the couple return from a family wedding to find an ominous note waiting for them in the post.
Inside Man: Thursday BBC1, 9pm.
After making the decision to carry out the heist: Chris, John and Marcus must now put their plans into action to make the idea a reality. With this in mind, Marcus heads off to equip the trio with some much needed muscle, while John attempts to try and take control of the group.
Law & Order UK: Friday ITV1, 9pm.
In the popular drama starring Bradley Walsh, the team are called to a deserted street where a barman has been shot dead in his car. To make matters worse a family dispute leads to another murder, while an allegation of police corruption is made against one of the officers. The team will require all their resources to handle this day.
Soap Watch:
Coronation Street sees Rosie Webster leave the street, as she follows her modelling dreams by moving to London. The decision isn’t an easy one for her though, because to ensure that she is given the role she has to break up with boyfriend Jason.
Runner-up for the Newcomer of the Year at the National Television Awards, Amy returns to Emmerdale this weekand is straight away embroiled amongst a bitter row between Val and Pollard. Val has plans to whisk her off to Portugal as she looks to get her revenge on Pollard.
Eastenders sees Jack and Roxy prepare to fight for the custody of their daughter Amy by taking the unusual step of sleeping together again. This makes relations between the two all the worst and a bitter fight for the rights of custody is likely to follow.
Thrilling Whitechapel:
After a tantalising opener, Whitechapel is back again on Monday night to continue the intriguing mystery. It is a mystery that is getting even scarier when the crime begins to become supernatural when a second mass murder occurs with no obvious signs of a break-in and no forensics left at the scene.
