A thief had to fork out £145 after he was caught stealing a bottle of wine from Tesco in Newton Aycliffe.
As reported by NPT Sergeant Mark Edwards in his blog on Aycliffe Today, Lee Scott, 36, from Shildon, appeared at Aycliffe Magistrates Court on October 8 charged with shoplifting, after he stole the wine from Aycliffe’s Tesco.
Scott was made subject of a community order, required to pay a £60 victim surcharge, and ordered to pay £85 court costs.
