Newton Aycliffe-based offshore specialists Tekmar Energy has landed a new contract with Scottish Power off the East Anglian coast.
Tekmar been awarded a contract by VBMS to supply its seventh generation of TekLink cable protection systems (CPS), bellmouths and cover disks for Scottish Power renewables’ ONE Offshore Windfarm in the North Sea.
VBMS has awarded contracts on the project to both Tekmar and Hartlepool-based JDR Cables, who will supply the CPS and power cables respectively.
The three companies also worked together on the Sandbank and Dudgeon Offshore Windfarm projects in the UK which were successfully completed incident free and ahead of schedule in 2016.
East Anglia ONE marks the second UK round 3 project Tekmar has protected the cables on after the Rampion Offshore Windfarm project which is currently in installation.
To date Tekmar has worked on over 50 offshore wind projects across the globe and supplied more the 5,000 cable protection systems.
