A suspected thief asked a member of staff at Tesco to remove security tags from computer games before leaving the store without paying.
Police would now like to speak to the male pictured in the above CCTV still in relation to the incident.
It happened on Tuesday 23rd December at Aycliffe’s Tesco Extra store.
The suspect walked around the grocery aisles before going upstairs to select some PlayStation games, to the value of £60.00.
He asked a member of staff at the self-service station to remove the security tags before attempting to pay with a card.
When the payment failed, the suspect walked out of the store with the games but without completing his transaction.
Anyone who recognises the man pictured above is asked to call police on 101, or message the Aycliffe Neighbourhood Team on Facebook.
