As part of Rights Respecting Day students from Greenfield Community College enjoyed a fascinating careers day with an introduction to the fascinating world of Medicine working with the ‘Medical Mavericks’.
Year 9 students enjoyed activities such as being able to look inside of the body using an Ultrasound machine as well as developing skills in learning about vital signs and how these are measured.
Students also benefited from insights into continuing their formal education at college or through an apprenticeship via a well-represented marketplace as all of the areas colleges and sixth forms were represented as well as local and national employers.
“This was a great opportunity for students to get a taste for the future,” said the school.
