Police are appealing for information after a car was stolen from Newton Aycliffe and later found burnt out.
As revealed in his blog on Aycliffe Today, Neighbourhood Police Team Inspector Mark Edwards says suspects entered a house on Welbury Grove by climbing through a ground floor window, which had been forced open, some time between 11.45pm on Sunday 12th July and 5am the next morning.
Keys for a black Hyundai vehicle were taken and the car itself was taken by the culprits. It was later found having been set alight in the Tindale Green area.
