Residents in County Durham are being asked to take part in a valuable survey about their garden waste collection service.
The survey is being carried out in order to gather feedback to help the council identify areas of improvement.
The survey will be available on Durham County Council’s website between Monday 15 May and Friday 30 June.
The garden waste collection service is a popular and useful discretionary service for residents in County Durham.
In 2015, Durham County Council could no longer fund the service and like many other local authorities introduced a subscription fee to ensure the service remained available.
The fee applies to all garden waste collections, including the service operated by Teesdale Conservation Volunteers (trading as Rotters) and consists of 17 fortnightly collections per year.
Alan Patrickson, head of projects and business services, said: “We’re inviting local residents to help shape the future of the service, and to do that we need their views and opinions.
“The survey is quick and easy to do online. Residents who require a paper copy will be able to pick one up at their local customer access points, leisure centres, household waste recycling centres and libraries.”
