Seaton Carew 2nd XI v Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI – weather was cool and cloudy. Seaton Carew won the toss and chose to bowl first.

In a rain reduced game, the seconds produced a fighting performance against league leaders Seaton Carew and deserved credit despite losing by five wickets. George Slatcher (sponsored by Mr & Mrs Greaves) was named man of the match for some excellent bowling finishing his 8 overs with 3 maidens and taking 2 wickets for just 13 runs.
