Newton Aycliffe police have released a CCTV image of a man suspected of stealing from Poundstretcher in the town centre.
A theft happened at around 11.40am on Friday and officers are appealing for information.
A suspect, pictured above, was wearing a blue hoody, blue jeans and trainers and was riding a bike.
