Police have confirmed a force helicopter hovered over Newton Aycliffe on Saturday night, looking for anti-social youths.
A number of anti-social behaviour incidents were reported on Saturday evening near the Burn area of the town.
A police helicopter was near the area at the time, and our local force said they asked the pilot to take a look.
“It wasn’t a major incident,” a police spokesman told Aycliffe Today this afternoon.
“We received a number of reports of some anti-social behaviour by some youths in that area.
“The helicopter was nearby, attending a separate incident in the Darlington area, so we asked them to take a look for us, and that’s all it was.”
