Newton Aycliffe police are appealing for information after a wheelie bin was set on fire.
The incident happened at about 5pm on Sunday (5th October), when an unidentified suspect set for to a wheelie bin in the garden of a property in Honister Place.
“The bin was no more than two feet away from the house wall,” said a police statement.
“Luckily, the fire did not spread, otherwise there could have been fatal consequences.”
