Police have arrested two people after recovering a number of items believed to have been stolen.
A cream coloured Radley purse, a black purse with distinctive buckle and a black HTC mobile phone were recovered in Shildon.
Police believe the items may have been stolen in Newton Aycliffe or Shildon, and want to identify the owners.
Anyone who knows anything about the stolen items is asked to call police on 101 and ask for Detective Sergeant Graham Low or DC Steve Constantine.
