Police are appealing for information after a dog attacked a woman in Newton Aycliffe.
The incident happened at about 4.30pm on Monday 8th February, when a female was walking past the boating lake on Garburn Place, she was attacked by a black Border Collie/German Shepherd cross dog.
The dog jumped at the female, who was wearing a yellow high visibility padded jacket, biting her on the forearm causing injury.
The dog was on a lead at the time and under the control of a male and female, but their identities are unknown at this time.
Police are appealing for the owners of the dog to come forward so advice can be provided to prevent incidents. They’re asked to call the police on 101.
