Police are appealing for information after a diesel theft near Newton Aycliffe.
About £500-worth of diesel was taken from a parked HGV in a layby on the A689 opposite Lyndhurst Nurseries, near to the Eden Arms Hotel, Rushyford.
It happened between 10pm on Thursday 29th May and 2.15am on Friday 30th.
A police statement said: “No suspects have been identified. The driver of the HGV and other drivers parked up for the night state they heard several vehicles throughout the night pulling into the layby however no registration numbers were observed or recorded.”
