A group of daring Options staff and volunteers are preparing to bust the Pioneering Care Partnership (PCP) ghost myth at a spooky sleepover!
Linda West has organised the event at the Pioneering Care Centre (PCC) in Newton Aycliffe on October 28, aiming to raise money for the member-led service for adults with learning and physical disabilities.
It has been said for many years that there is a ghost that plays tricks at the PCC at night – flickering lights and fiddling with the waterworks… will the team endure a full night stay, or will they give into the fear and run home?
Linda West, Options lead, said: “I’d like to thank the staff and volunteers for joining this scary fundraising effort.
“We have big plans for Options in the coming months and really appreciate those donating the service.”
As well as the sponsored sleepover, Options members are preparing to host their annual Halloween party at PCC.
Including a fancy dress competition and disco, with the Garden Kitchen will be open serving delicious pie, peas and gravy.
All proceeds from the spooky sleepover and Halloween party will be donated to Options day service as they prepare for brand-new renovation starting soon.
