Organisers of the Durham Oktoberfest in Newton Aycliffe say this year’s event was the best yet.
Oktoberfest is an exhibition bringing the region’s engineering and manufacturing companies together.
John Lyle, from Engineering Forum Clusters County Durham, is one of the principle organisers of the event, and he told Aycliffe Today that attendance almost doubled, due mainly to the involvement of Hitachi Rail Europe.
In a Video Interview with Aycliffe Today, Mr Lyle said: “It’s undoubtedly been our most successful event to date.
“It’s been going for five years now and this has been the most attended.”
