Newton Aycliffe’s Ladies senior team (sponsored Recruitrite) have had a remarkable season, during which they won every game they played.
They had already secured two league titles and then they capped it all off by winning the prestigious inaugural NYSD Women’s 100 Ball Pairs Cup competition at Norton Cricket Club on Sunday.
They defeated pre-tournament favourites Great Ayton by just three runs in a dramatic finale that went right down to the last ball. What a way to finish the cricket season.
