Newton Aycliffe defender Mark Peck talks to Aycliffe Today about how moved he was when the club rallied round him recently.
The 21-year-old had to undergo a serious leg injury last month after a blood clot caused a vessel to burst in his lower leg.
The operation has sidelined him for a number of months – doctors have told him a year – and he’s also been unable to work.
Aycliffe players and fans rallied, and organised a whip-round to help him and his young family out.
