A man has been killed and another seriously injured after an incident at Wade’s recycling centre near Newton Aycliffe.
Durham Constabulary confirmed this afternoon that a Health and Safety Executive an investigation is ongoing in relation to the incident, which happened on Saturday morning.
A statement said: “Unfortunately, as a result of the incident, one male has been fatally injured and one other male has suffered serious injuries.
“The next of kin of the deceased male have been advised.”
