MAN FINED FOR ASSAULTING POLICE OFFICERS

A Newton Aycliffe man was fined for assaulting two police officers.

As reported by NPT Sergeant Mark Edwards in his blog on Aycliffe Today, Stephen Boyes, 43, from Aycliffe, appeared at the town’s Magistrates Court on September 18 charged with assaulting the officers.

He was fined £400, ordered to pay a £40 victim surcharge, and ordered to pay £250 court costs.
