A man was arrested following an incident in Newton Aycliffe earlier this week.
The incident occurred on Dalton Way shortly before 11am on Monday (August 12).
The 22-year-old was arrested on suspicion of possession of an offensive weapon and assaulting two police officers.
He was in police custody this week.
