The Pioneering Care Partnership in Newton Aycliffe is hosting an event to raise money for a well-known cancer charity.
The PCP is inviting local people to its Cobblers Hall venue to be part of the ‘World’s biggest coffee morning’, in aid of Macmillan, on Friday September 28, 10am-1pm.
Yummy sweet treats will be on offer as well as a selection of freshly prepared coffees, teas and delicious snacks.
There’ll also be a selection of craft and gift stalls selling handcrafted items, ranging from candles to knitted toys, wooden crafts and perfumes.
“Come and be part of our get together, have a nibble and a natter and help families affected by cancer at the same time. Cake tastes better with friends!” said a PCP spokesperson.
Macmillan provides vital support. There are 2.5million people currently living with cancer in the UK.
Sandra from PCP said: “When my father was diagnosed with terminal cancer in 2009 Macmillan were with us every step of the way.
“They were there for the family, giving us practical support and advice and even helped us getting the right palliative care. I don’t know what we would have done without them.”
