A Newton Aycliffe woman charged with a £620,000 iPad con will spend the New Year behind bars after she was remanded in custody again yesterday.
Kirsty Cox, 36, has allegedly taken payments for 4,000 iPads and iPods, having offered them at cut-price rates.
She appeared before Magistrates last Friday (21st December) and was remanded in custody over the Christmas period until Friday (28th Dec), when she was remanded in custody again until next Wednesday (2nd January), when her case is expected to be committed to Crown Court.
Ms Cox, of Hamsterley Road in the town, is accused of five counts of fraud by misrepresentation, amounting to a total of £621,689.
