A Newton Aycliffe woman charged with a £620,000 iPad con is due to appear via Video Link at the town’s Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (Friday).
Kirsty Cox, 36, has allegedly taken payments for 4,000 iPads and iPods, having offered them at cut-price rates.
She appeared before Magistrates last Friday (21st December) and was remanded in custody over the Christmas period until Friday (28th Dec), when her case is expected to be committed to Crown Court.
Ms Cox, of Hamsterley Road in the town, is accused of five counts of fraud by misrepresentation, amounting to a total of £621,689.
