Husqvarna manufacturing director Caraline Robinson introduces the first 2022 issue of Aycliffe Business, the magazine for Aycliffe Business Park…
You’ll read in this edition about the return of Aycliffe Business Park’s Make Your Mark awards.
As headline sponsors, we at Husqvarna are delighted to be involved, for several reasons.
As a business we decided it would be nice to get involved in something that is to celebrate success stories in our local community It has been a difficult couple of years for some companies, so it’s important – more so now than ever – to raise the profile of our achievements, whether that’s individually, or collectively.
We know about many of our local businesses who are doing some amazing things, particularly around the training of people and trying to develop their workforce.
There’s so much good about what’s going on locally and it’s a great opportunity to shout about that.
There are lots of categories for local firms to enter, so I’d urge every company on the business park to embrace Make Your Mark and take a look at the categories.
Even just by going through the process of evaluating your last year or so is a positive experience. It gives you time to reflect on the achievements or progress you’ve made.
Being shortlisted would be a wonderful achievement and I, for one, can’t wait to see the list of those who make the final three in each category.
Winning an award is, of course, the icing on the cake. But even without winning, there are lots of reasons why you should take the time to enter.
You can access it by going to aycliffebusinesspark.co.uk/awards.
I applaud Aycliffe Business Park Community for having the foresight and ambition to bring the Make Your Mark awards back.
There’s plenty to read about the awards in this issue of Aycliffe Business, including information and signposts on how to enter.
There are also lots of exciting news and features covering many of our great companies here on Aycliffe Business Park.
I hope you enjoy this issue.

We look forward to seeing you at Redworth Hall on May 20!
