Hundreds of people marked Remembrance Day with services across Newton Aycliffe.
The Remembrance Day Parade took place on Sunday, proceeding down Greenwell Road, Macmillan Road and Stephenson Way to St Clare’s Church.
The parade stopped at St Clare’s for a short service when the Last Post and Reveille were sounded, followed by the silence at 11am.
Wreaths were laid as several veterans attended the service.
Thanks to Andrew Hill for kindly sending us his pictures from the day (more below).
There was also a Remembrance Sunday service at St Andrew’s Church in Aycliffe Village on Sunday, while Aycliffe town centre fell silent for two minutes at 11am on Remembrance Day (Monday).
