Newton Aycliffe JFC U23’s were delighted when Honest John kindly agreed to sponsor a new away kit for the 2014-15 season.
The offer of sponsoring a new away kit could not have come at a more opportune moment for the team as Durham FA this season have made it a requirement that all teams entering and playing in the DFA Sunday u23’s league must have both a home and an away strip this season.
U23’s team manager Nige “Slatch” Slatcher (pictured back row far right) was delighted to take delivery of the new kit which proudly displays Honest John’s logo.
He said: “I would like to personally thank, on behalf of the team and the club, both Honest John for donating the money to purchase the new strip from TSM in Shildon and Tina Greaves who is the club’s grants and sponsorship officer for helping facilitate the discussions on behalf of the club which resulted in the two-year sponsorship been secured.”
The NAJFC u23’s play in the very competitive Durham FA u23’s Sunday afternoon league and are also the official development team for the town’s Northern League club Newton Aycliffe FC.
