Talented graphic designers are being offered the chance to work on a triple award-winning football programme.
County Durham club Newton Aycliffe won the Northern League Programme of the Year competition for a third successive season in 2011-12.
Now they’re offering media students the chance to improve their portfolio by working on the impressive matchday publication.
Editor Paul McGeary, pictured with his third successive Northern League award, said: “We’re always keen to involve as many professional people, or aspiring professionals, as possible.
“We know there’s a wealth of media talent out there, students who could use our programme as a specific project or to improve their own portfolio of work.
“We’ll offer training and guidance, and provide any software required for students to do the work.
“This is a really exciting opportunity for students to get involved in the best programme in the Northern League!”
Aycliffe are specifically looking for students who are familiar with Adobe InDesign or Quark Xpress, and Adobe Photoshop.
Each match programme will involve approximately 2-3 hours of design, and there will be between 22 and 30 issues between August 2012 and April 2013.
Those interested in working on Aycliffe’s programme for the 2012-13 season can contact the club’s media manager, Martin Walker, on 07826 525907, or email [email protected]
