An 18-year-old Newton Aycliffe girl escaped jail after burgling a house in Newton Aycliffe and being caught with a “bladed object”.
As revealed in Sergeant Mark Edwards’ regular blog on Aycliffe Today, Tammy Newton, from the town, appeared at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court last Wednesday (19th December).
She was convicted of burglary at an address of Skipton Close in October and for possessing a bladed object in a public place.
Newton was given a community order and was also made to pay £40 costs.
