Woodham Academy’s successful House Competitions continued recently with an educational game of Twister!
To make the game more competitive, Twister was multiplied in order to fit the Main Hall of the school.
The circles which are usually the primary colours were changed to represent the colours of the three houses: blue-Lambton, orange- Brancepeth and purple- Raby.
As the game began, the students were informed of the rules, which consisted of answering Maths and English questions in order to progress across the spots allocated by House with the ultimate goal being to reach the other side.
In round one, Lambton took the victory as they answered all of the Maths questions correctly and were only incorrect once in the Spelling Bee section.
However, Brancepeth romped to victory in the second round, answering all of the English questions without hesitation. Educational Twister who would have thought – I’m sure there’s a new business idea in there somewhere!
The next House Competitions are a combination of Science and Technology –once again, Woodham Academy students look forward to competing against one another. The ultimate question is always who will emerge victorious? Brancepeth, Lambton or Raby?
