There’s never been a better time to get fit and improve your health thanks to free seven-day passes for leisure centres across County Durham.
Members of the public who are not already a member of a Durham County Council leisure centre are entitled to the free pass, which includes unlimited use of the fitness suite, selected exercise classes and free one-to-one induction.
It also includes free swimming and use of the sauna and steam rooms where these facilities are available.
Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre is taking part in the offer, as well as Abbey Leisure Centre, Chester-le-Street Leisure Centre, Freeman’s Quay Leisure Centre, Meadowfield Leisure Centre, Riverside Leisure Complex, Shildon-Sunnydale Leisure Centre, Spennymoor Leisure Centre, Teesdale Leisure Centre and Woodhouse Close Leisure Complex.
Anyone taking up the offer will also be issued with a free thrive card – which normally costs £5 a year – giving them a discounted rate to use the centres once their pass has ended.
With the kids set to return to school, it’s the perfect opportunity to try something completely new while improving your health at the same time.
The seven-day passes and thrive cards will be available from Monday, September 4, to Sunday, September 17, and can be picked up from any of the leisure centres listed.
