Great Aycliffe Town Council have organised two free family pond-dipping sessions on Aycliffe Nature Park and Byerley Park Local Nature Reserve.
The events will both take place on Wednesday May 31.
Families are encouraged to come along to Aycliffe Nature Park at 10am for the first session to find out which creatures make this fabulous pond their home.
The second session starts at 1.30pm in the ponds at Byerley Park Local Nature Reserve.
The activities are aimed at family groups with children between 5 to 10-years-old. Children MUST be accompanied by an adult. All equipment will be provided.
