Thieves have struck again with five more burglaries this week – just days after police reported of six other incidents within the space of a week.
Aycliffe Today reported earlier this week how police were warning residents to be vigilant after a spate of burglaries in the town.
Now officers have reported five more incidents which happened over two nights.
On Monday night into Tuesday morning, opportunistic thieves struck at sheds and garages in The Meet, Bowes Road and Burn Lane.
At Bowes Road, a green and purple child’s trial bike was stolen, as well as a toolbox, drill and snap-on socket from The Meet and a black and green Sacrifice Flight child’s scooter from Burn Lane.
Then overnight between Tuesday (15th March) and Wednesday (16th) two sheds were forced in Lisle Road and Hareson Road. A set of golf clubs and a Callaway bag as well as two golf trolleys were stolen from Lisle Road, and a toolbox from Hareson Road.
If anyone has any information regarding any of these crimes, please call police on 101.
