Woodham Community College organised a free coach and admission trip to the Life Science Centre in Newcastle for parents and children from local primary schools.
Families were able to enjoy a whole host of interactive attractions as well as special activities arranged by the Centre ranging from the fabulous Curiosity Zone which is 100% hands-on and full of exhibits which brought out the inner scientist in some parents, through to the spectacular 4D Motion Ride, where families experienced every twist and turn in time to the 3D action on screen.
There were also Planetarium and Science Theatre Shows to enjoy, plus the Young Explorer’s Zone
The coach home was buzzing with excited discussions about what had been the most enjoyable part of the day.
Families had an ideal opportunity to experience a whole range of learning opportunities, as well as enjoying a day out together.
In the words of one parent: “This has been an absolutely fantastic opportunity to spend time together as a family, the great part being that the children don’t even realize that this is learning!”.
