Newton Aycliffe FC are planning their second annual Family Fun Day this Sunday (11am-4pm).
Hundreds of people turned out for last summer’s event – and organisers are expecting an even bigger turn-out for this year’s, which is being held on Sunday (19th August) after its original date in July had to be postponed due to bad weather.
Organiser Barry Waters, Aycliffe FC’s sponsorship manager, has planned a bigger and better event this year, with a range of entertainment and fun on offer for families around the sides of the club’s pitch at Moore Lane Park.
“It should be a really good day for all the family,” said Barry.
“There’ll be loads more on offer for all members of the family this year so, weather permitting, it should be a cracking day for everyone.”
Entertainment on the day will include a bouncy castle, a speed goal, a brass band, a range of American vintage cars, football coaching, an army assault course, an archery demonstration, Tombola, face-painting and a coconut shy, while refreshments will be readily available.
There’ll also be a table top sale (£5 a table). Anyone who’d like to get involved can contact Barry on 07864 718243, or email [email protected]
