A free service for people living in Newton Aycliffe or Middridge who are out of work or at risk of redundancy has recently launched.
The ‘Employability Pit Stop’ project, funded by Great Ayclife and Middridge Partnership (GAMP) and delivered by the Pioneering Care Centre (PCP) aims to help local jobseekers to develop skills to job search successfully.
The project provides one-to-one support and help with preparing CV’s, digital job searching, help with job applications and interview techniques.
Anyone interested in receiving free support through the project can call into one of the ‘Pit Stop Surgeries’ held every Tuesday at Newton Aycliffe Library (10:00am – 12:30pm) and every Wednesday at the Community Learning Centre within the Thames Centre (9:30am – 12:30pm).
Brian Riley, GAMP Coordinator, said: “This project will provide local job seekers with support to help them into employment. We are encouraging unemployed people from Newton Aycliffe and Middridge who would like help to access this free service.”
