Elections were taking place in Newton Aycliffe on Thursday for the county council, Police and Crime Commissioner and town council wards.
Results of the various elections are expected to come in on Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
Aycliffe Today will be reporting live from Spennymoor Leisure Centre all day Friday, when we’re expecting the results for the Aycliffe North and Aycliffe East wards of the Durham County Council elections.

Results for the Aycliffe West ward is expected to follow on Saturday, as well as the result of the Police and Crime Commissioner poll.
