A Newton Aycliffe man has been banned from the roads after being caught drink-driving in the town.
As reported by NPT Sergeant Mark Edwards in his blog on Aycliffe Today, Robert James Chambers, 33, was convicted at Newton Aycliffe Magistrates Court on 5th June for drink driving on Burnhill Way back in April.
He was disqualified from driving for 12 months and fined £110. He was also ordered to pay a £20 victim surcharge and £85 costs to the Crown Prosecution Service.
