There are just a few days left for County Durham residents who want to apply for a proxy vote for the upcoming general election.
The deadline for completed applications for a proxy vote is 5pm on Wednesday, December 4.
If you are unable to vote in person on polling day, a proxy vote allows you to ask someone to vote on your behalf.
A proxy vote could be helpful if you are away on the day of the election, if you have a medical issue or disability or you are unavailable due to work commitments.
Anyone who is included on the electoral register should have now received their poll card.
If you are registered to vote and have not received your poll card or would like to apply for a proxy vote you should contact Durham County Council’s electoral services team on 03000 261212 or email [email protected] as soon as possible.
