A man and a woman found dead in a car in County Durham are believed to be related, Durham Police have said.
The bodies were found with “serious gunshot wounds” near Crook Golf Course.
A post-mortem examination carried out on Sunday confirmed they died from gunshot wounds.
The pair are believed to be a man in his 30s and a woman in her 50s from the Crook area, but police said the nature of their injuries would delay confirmation of their identities.
Detectives said they were not looking for anyone else in connection with the deaths.
Officers found the bodies at 11:35am on Saturday, on Low Job’s Hill, Crook, after “acting on information received”.
