Normanby Hall 2nd XI v Newton Aycliffe 1st XI
Normanby Hall 2nd XI were unable to raise a team and therefore conceded their game with Aycliffe’s 1st team. This result gave Aycliffe the maximum 25 points and takes their total to 233 points, which is 35 points clear of the drop zone, but they have played a game more than their relegation rivals.
Saturday 13th August – NYSD Division 3
Newton Aycliffe 2nd XI v Bishop Auckland 2nd XI – weather was warm and sunny. Newton Aycliffe won the toss and asked Bishop Auckland to bat first.

The second team were well beaten at home to Bishop Auckland 2nd team by 243 runs in their NYSD division 3 clash. Veteran Tony Travis earned his third man of the match nomination in a row after finishing as the pick of the Aycliffe bowlers taking a seasonal best of 3 for 63 from his 13 overs. Aycliffe 2nd team now have 115 points from 14 games and with only 3 games, sit in 13th place out of 18 in the NYSD 3rd division table.
